Endless Strife

An infinite dungeon from which heroes do not return — but their legend earns Honor

The Eternal Strife (often called Endless Strife) is a special 9,999-floor dungeon. Unlike regular dungeons, heroes sent here earn no gold or XP from kills. When a hero's HP reaches zero, they are permanently promoted to the Beyond roster rather than being lost. Every new floor reached beyond your personal record awards Honor.

Key Differences from Normal Dungeons

No gold or XP from kills — no income while running, only Honor on new floors
No victory condition — heroes push until they inevitably fall
Hero death is permanent (sort of) — fallen heroes promote to Beyond, they don't disappear
Honor awarded once per new floor reached — high-water mark mechanic; re-clearing old floors earns nothing
No offline simulation — Endless Strife does not run while you are offline

Enemy stats multiply per floor using a steep formula:

Global Elite Unlocks

Reaching these Endless Strife floors permanently unlocks powerful elites that can spawn in any non-endless dungeon:

Beyond Promotion

When a hero falls in Endless Strife:

They are removed from the active guild roster
Their stats, equipment, and skill tree are preserved as a snapshot
They join the Beyond roster and become eligible for Colosseum matches
You can retire Beyond heroes for a small Honor refund or to free roster space

Strategy tip: Build Endless Strife parties around raw survivability — HP, DEF, and healing. Vitality (Juggernaut keystone) and Defense (Immovable keystone) skill tree paths dramatically outperform DPS builds past floor 30. Bring a Cleric or Lightbringer to extend push depth.

Honor Income

Honor is awarded once per new floor reached. This is a high-water mark — you earn Honor the first time you clear floor N, never again on that floor. The only way to earn more Honor is to push past your personal record. Spend Honor in the Honor Store for upgrades, Honor-exclusive class unlocks (Samurai at floor 20, Onmyoji at floor 40), and quality-of-life improvements.
