What Changes at Level 10

When a Samurai reaches level 10 and you select Shogun, three things change permanently:

  1. Stat bonuses are added to the hero's ability scores immediately and permanently.
  2. Active ability is replaced with the subclass variant (War Cry).
  3. Passive effect is unlocked and becomes active in all future runs.

Ability: War Cry

War Cry: Grants all living allies +12 ATK for 6 ticks. Passive: each kill permanently grants the Shogun +4 ATK (up to 3 stacks per run).

Permanent Stat Bonuses

Shogun grants the following ability score bonuses on top of the Samurai base scores:

These bonuses stack with ability score points allocated from levelling. They cannot be removed without retiring the hero.

Passive Effect

Gains +4 ATK permanently on every kill (up to 3 kills per run, +12 ATK total).

This passive is always active during combat — no gear or skill tree investment required to trigger it.

Recommended Skill Tree Themes

Synergy (Pack Hunter, Full House, Inspiration), Offense (War Machine for stacking ATK).

Applying via Archetype

Set an Archetype with Shogun as the guild standard for Samurai — all future recruits of that class will automatically receive this subclass at level 10 without any manual selection.
