Permanent relics forged from a hero's lifetime of combat
A Legacy Item is a unique accessory created from a hero's career. Each Legacy Item is inscribed with the forging hero's name, class, subclass, and level — visible in the item tooltip forever. Legacy Items are not generated from the standard item pool; they are one-of-a-kind.
| Method | Hero Status After | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Retire Hero | Hero is permanently removed from the roster | Free — no consumable required |
| Bloodline Forge | Hero stays active in your guild | Bloodline Forge consumable (Mythical rarity, very rare drop or bounty reward) |
The rarity of the generated Legacy Item is determined by the hero's level when forged. Higher level = higher rarity = more powerful passive.
| Hero Level | Legacy Item Rarity | Sell Value |
|---|---|---|
| 1–10 | Common Common | Up to 100 g |
| 11–20 | Uncommon Uncommon | 121–400 g |
| 21–30 | Rare Rare | 441–900 g |
| 31–40 | Epic Epic | 961–1,600 g |
| 41–49 | Legendary Legendary | 1,681–2,401 g |
| 50 | Divine Divine | 2,500 g |
| 60+ | Artifact Artifact | 3,600+ g |
Sell value formula: level² gold. The passive effect scales with both rarity and the hero's subclass at forge time.
The passive effect on the Legacy Item is determined by the subclass the hero has at forge time. The subclass is permanently inscribed on the item. Choose the subclass that benefits your party before retiring:
Check the Subclasses overview to compare subclass passives before deciding which subclass to have active at forge time.
Legacy Items do not count toward the standard stash capacity limit. You can accumulate as many as you like without hitting the stash cap. Raid-exclusive items share this exemption.
