Arrows hit lighter, but the Volley is the weapon — a piercing barrage that strikes every enemy and chills them all. Devastating against packs; leans on the barrage against lone bosses.
"The forest does not forget who trespasses."
When a Ranger reaches level 10 and you select Warden, three things change permanently:
Volley: Fires a volley that hits all enemies for [ATK × 1.3] each (before armor) and applies Chill to every target. Basic attacks have a [60 + AP × 0.2, max 90]% chance to Chill, but hit 20% lighter in trade.
Warden grants the following ability score bonuses on top of the Ranger base scores:
These bonuses stack with ability score points allocated from levelling. They cannot be removed without retiring the hero.
60% chance to apply Chill on hit (growing with Ability Power up to 90%), slowing the target's attack timer.
This passive is always active during combat — no gear or skill tree investment required to trigger it.
Speed (Glass Striker keystone, Fleet-Footed), Crit (Vorpal Edge for on-hit slow crits).
See the Skill Tree deep dive for the full 119-node reference and routing advice, or the Ranger build guide for a complete path recommendation for this class.
Both subclasses unlock at level 10. Compare them to choose:
