Once per floor, saves an ally from death — transferring 50% of the Einherjar's remaining HP to that hero instead of letting them fall.
"The fallen do not go quietly. They give us one last gift."
When a Valkyrie reaches level 10 and you select Einherjar, three things change permanently:
This subclass uses the base Valkyrie class ability unchanged.
Einherjar grants the following ability score bonuses on top of the Valkyrie base scores:
These bonuses stack with ability score points allocated from levelling. They cannot be removed without retiring the hero.
Once per floor, intercepts a fatal hit to any ally — transfers 50% of the Einherjar's remaining HP to prevent the death.
This passive is always active during combat — no gear or skill tree investment required to trigger it.
Synergy (Empathy, Full House, Inspiration for party buffs), Vitality (Resilience).
See the Skill Tree deep dive for the full 120-node reference and routing advice, or the Valkyrie build guide for a complete path recommendation for this class.
Both subclasses unlock at level 10. Compare them to choose:
| Einherjar | Death's Herald | |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Once per floor, saves an ally from death — transferring 50% of the Einherjar's remaining HP to that hero instead of letting them fall. | Last Rites becomes an offensive surge — granting AP instead of DEF, with all values 25% stronger. When an ally falls, erupts into a +50% ATK rage for 8 ticks. |
| Stat Bonus | +2 Spirit, +1 Vitality | +2 Strength, +1 Agility |

The choice is permanent — use a Scroll of Divergence consumable to re-select without retiring the hero.
Set an Archetype with Einherjar as the guild standard for Valkyrie — all future recruits of that class will automatically receive this subclass at level 10 without any manual selection.
