With STR as the primary stat, this class benefits most from ATK and Strength gear. Secondary focus: VIT — look for HP and Vitality gear as sub-stat rolls.
Choose a subclass at level 10. Each grants permanent stat bonuses, modifies your ability variant, and activates a unique passive. The choice is permanent unless a Scroll of Divergence consumable is used.
Once per floor, saves an ally from death — transferring 50% of the Einherjar's remaining HP to that hero instead of letting them fall, bolstered by a bonus heal that scales with Ability Power.

Ability: Last Rites — Grants all living allies +[13 + AP × 0.08] ATK and a +[8 + AP × 0.08] AP boost for 8 ticks (replacing the base DEF buff). Auto-triggers on ally death, also granting the Herald a +50% ATK rage for 8 ticks — and the Herald feeds on every death: each enemy the party kills rekindles that rage for 3 ticks.

A Valkyrie put through the Bloodline Forge leaves a Legacy Item whose main stat is one of HP, ATK, DEF, with sub-stats drawn from HP, ATK, DEF, AP — every value scales with the hero's level, and the subclass at forge time sets the passive.
