Shikigami manifest as protective wards. Party gains passive HP regen and the shikigami shields the Onmyoji from one hit.
"The kami do not fight my enemies. They protect my friends."
When a Onmyoji reaches level 10 and you select Shrine Keeper, three things change permanently:
Sacred Ward: Shields all living allies for 15 HP (AP increases amount) and refreshes the Shikigami intercept. Passive: per-tick HP regen scales with AP.
Shrine Keeper grants the following ability score bonuses on top of the Onmyoji base scores:
These bonuses stack with ability score points allocated from levelling. They cannot be removed without retiring the hero.
Passively regenerates HP for all living allies each tick, scaling with Ability Power.
This passive is always active during combat — no gear or skill tree investment required to trigger it.
Magic (AP for regen and ward scaling), Defense (Fortification, Second Wind).
See the Skill Tree deep dive for the full 120-node reference and routing advice, or the Onmyoji build guide for a complete path recommendation for this class.
Both subclasses unlock at level 10. Compare them to choose:
| Shrine Keeper | Wrathcaller | |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Shikigami manifest as protective wards. Party gains passive HP regen and the shikigami shields the Onmyoji from one hit. | Each kill raises a vengeful shade (up to 3). Oni Swarm strikes all enemies and scales with accumulated shades. |
| Stat Bonus | +2 Spirit, +1 Toughness | +2 Intelligence, +1 Agility |

The choice is permanent — use a Scroll of Divergence consumable to re-select without retiring the hero.
Set an Archetype with Shrine Keeper as the guild standard for Onmyoji — all future recruits of that class will automatically receive this subclass at level 10 without any manual selection.
