Each kill raises a vengeful shade (up to 3). Oni Swarm strikes all enemies and scales with accumulated shades.
"The spirits do not choose mercy. That part is up to me."
When a Onmyoji reaches level 10 and you select Wrathcaller, three things change permanently:
Oni Swarm: Strikes all living enemies for 80% ATK, plus +8 ATK per spirit shade (max 3). Shades persist between casts. AP increases base damage.
Wrathcaller grants the following ability score bonuses on top of the Onmyoji base scores:
These bonuses stack with ability score points allocated from levelling. They cannot be removed without retiring the hero.
Each kill summons a spirit shade (max 3 active). Shades add bonus damage to the Oni Swarm ability.
This passive is always active during combat — no gear or skill tree investment required to trigger it.
Offense (Kill Cascade synergy, War Machine), Chaos (Soul Forge, Kill Cascade, Void Walker).
See the Skill Tree deep dive for the full 120-node reference and routing advice, or the Onmyoji build guide for a complete path recommendation for this class.
Both subclasses unlock at level 10. Compare them to choose:

| Identity | Each kill raises a vengeful shade (up to 3). Oni Swarm strikes all enemies and scales with accumulated shades. | Shikigami manifest as protective wards. Party gains passive HP regen and the shikigami shields the Onmyoji from one hit. |
| Stat Bonus | +2 Intelligence, +1 Agility | +2 Spirit, +1 Toughness |

The choice is permanent — use a Scroll of Divergence consumable to re-select without retiring the hero.
Set an Archetype with Wrathcaller as the guild standard for Onmyoji — all future recruits of that class will automatically receive this subclass at level 10 without any manual selection.
