The Mage ignores half of all enemy DEF — making it the only viable damage dealer against high-armor enemies like Corrupted Knight, Iron Deathless, and endgame bosses with huge DEF. Arcane Surge nukes the highest-HP target. Prioritize AP through INT and SPI; skip physical stats entirely.

Intelligence (ATK scaling + AP at 0.25/pt) then Spirit (AP at 0.35/pt, CDR). Ignore STR and DEX. Minimal TOU/VIT — the Mage needs a dedicated healer.

Unleashes a powerful nuke on the highest-HP enemy. AP increases the damage multiplier.
Pyromancer is better for multi-enemy floors — Inferno stacks independent burns on every living enemy simultaneously. Arcanist is better for single-target boss fights — Arcane Barrage fires at a shorter cooldown than base Arcane Surge.
